Upgraded to stretch, and again openvpn was tricky - this time, it complained about not having rights to its temp dir, because access() behaves strangely when capabilities are restricted, even though in practice it would have had rights. chmod with more permissive rights to the rescue…

Another Debian release, time to change hardware as well.

Changing hosting providers and switching to a bit more beefy machine; lots more memory, lots more (but slower) cores. Switched to systemd, and the world didn't end (although it might still happen in the future). Still using ikiwiki. Life goes on!

Another Debian release, another (almost fully) painless upgrade.

The only issue was with openvpn and me accidentally removing the custom ulimit call to increase max in-memory-locked value, which lead to openvpn failing with very strange errors (e.g. compression errors, handshake errors, etc.); I've only managed to debug it due to "t of memory" messages in syslog (due to lack of memory, it ate the first two chars :). After that, everything seems fine…
